Naomi Campbell to be honored with ‘The Cutreports’
British supermodel and actress, Naomi Campbell will be remembered forever, as she joins the league of past recipients of Council of Fashion Designers of America, CFDA, which include – Beyonce Knowles, Pharrell Williams, Johnny Depp, and Rihanna.
The CFDA announced that Campbell will on June 4, be the 2018 recipient of their Fashion Icon Award, The Cutreports.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the CFDA with this year’s Fashion Icon award,” Campbell said. “Being from London, my personal style has always been tremendously influenced by both the dynamic, ever-changing nature of street culture and the music scene. I grew up in this industry and I’m forever grateful to the iconic American fashion designers that have supported me and celebrated me throughout my career.”
With no prejudice, one can say the CFDA is proud to honor Campbell with the award in partnership with Swarovski.
Since Campbell was five, her achievements and contributions to the fashion world as won her the legendary status. The in-demand model of the late 1980s, has made over 500 magazine covers and was one of the five original supermodels, starred in George Michael’s Freedom! ’90video.
