It was a beautiful sight to behold at Kean University’s convocation ceremony. The hall was not just filled with graduates, parents, guests, and well-wishers, it was filled with excitements as everyone presents were wearing the laudable smile.
The much-awaited event started with a commencement speech from Cory Booker, a senator representing New Jersey.
Following the delivery of his speech, the school choirs were introduced to give a rendition to serenade the audience.
In the course of the event, the graduates were introduced on stage one after the other to receive their diploma.
Ayodeji Onibuore Jr. who happens to be one of the latest graduates in town could not hide his excitements after graduating with Bachelors in Biology at Kean University.
Onibuore Jr. in an interview, says he felt good to have completed his program successfully.
The fresh graduate who’s in his 20s credits his academic success to the quality time he had while on campus. Ayodeji Jr. says “College was an amazing experience for me. And everything I did in college made me what I am today. I studied hard with my friends and at the same time, play basketballs.”
Onibuore Jr. expresses that despite the fact that his heart is filled with joy, there are certain things he would miss about college. “I ’m going to miss my friends. I am going to miss the school campus and I’m going to miss just school life.”
In the course of his chitchat, heaped praises on the school professors and deans, saying they all played vital roles to enable him to succeed academically.
Onibuore Jr. also thanked his parents for supporting his academics and being his backbone.
The US-born, reveals that he is proud of having Nigerian parents and hope to give back to society because Nigeria is a beautiful place.
His mother says she’s proud of her son and also reiterates her undying love for him. “I love you, you stayed in school and completed your program without any trouble of such. I thank God and also thank you.”
In a similar vein, Onibuore Sr. congratulated him, saying he’s a proud son.
Following his graduation, his parents threw him a house party, inviting family and friends to come and celebrate with them.
